We get it, this is an exciting and overwhelming time and there is so much to do. Now that you’ve picked a date, your photography studio and probably a venue as well, you can celebrate. Those are three of the toughest and most important decisions in Mitzvah planning.
Go ahead and cross them off your list!
Now on to the fun stuff… like your preshoot photography session!
Planning Your Mitzvah Preshoot
A Mitzvah Preshoot photography session isn’t always top of the list of to-dos but we include them in most of our packages because it’s such a vital part of the entire process.
For all our families, this has always been one of the most exciting things they do leading up to the Mitzvah date.
Often the photos from the Mitzvah Preshoot are used to create wall art for the home and as decor for the event.
As you start to plan for your Mitzvah Preshoot, you'll need to start brainstorming about locations, outfits, shoot style, and most importantly what is your Mitzvah child passionate about.
Do you want a more casual shoot or a styled shoot? What location would you like to shoot at?
Try to choose a location that is special to your child in some way! We've shot at farms, beaches, downtown alleys, sports fields, and even laundry mats! Don't shy away from crazy ideas! The more creative, the better!
This is about your child and expressing their personality!
During the Mitzvah Preshoot, your child will have the chance to get to feel comfortable in front of the camera. They will find out some tips and secrets about how to pose and how to interact with each other so that those magical moments start to come effortlessly.
At the end they'll feel like a pro on their Mitzvah day because of the great practice you had during their Mitzvah Preshoot, and that’s how it should be.
Oh yes, and don’t forget if you have a theme, lets use it!
We always love to add a Family Photoshoot on at the end of the Mitzvah Preshoot. After all, a Mitzvah is a celebration not only of your child but the entire family so lets get everyone involved!
So take a deep breath and relax. This is about your child!
Unwind and have some fun in front of the camera because youth and innocence is fleeting and a Mitzvah Preshoot photography session is an exciting step towards a Mitzvah celebration that is hopefully filled with passion, love, happiness and family.
So be adventurous and enjoy yourselves!
